This Monday (November 26, 2007) the deer hunting season was opened in Ohio and will run till December 2, 2007.Reportedly, over 400,000 hunters are expected to themselves out, with a pre-hunting season population estimate of 675,000 white-tailed deer, ODNR (Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife) expects 115,000 to 120,000 deer will be killed during the nine-day deer-gun season.Don’t forget: legal hours for hunting run from one half-hour before sunrise to sunset.
Deer hunting contributes an estimated $226 million to the state’s economy each year and helps to support thousands of jobs, according to ODNR’s report.
